1,000+ represents websites served cumulatively, not current actively maintained sites. 2 hours means initial response on business days, not a fix time or 24/7 service.
What Are Website Maintenance Services?
Website maintenance services provide ongoing technical care for a website. The work can include updates, backups, monitoring, security checks, routine changes, troubleshooting and reports.
The final scope depends on the website platform, condition and business needs. A clear maintenance plan sets the tasks, frequency, limits and support path.
You may also see this work described as site maintenance services or web maintenance services. The name can vary. The scope matters more.
You do not need to manage every technical detail. Use one clear support path to raise issues and keep routine work moving.
One thing worth being clear about before you compare providers: our two-hour promise is an initial response on business days. It is not a fix time, and it is not round-the-clock coverage. Stating that plainly is more useful to you than a number that sounds better and means less. The response window for each priority level is set out in How It Works.
See What Your Website NeedsWhat Do You Gain From Ongoing Website Maintenance?
Fewer Last-Minute Surprises
Routine checks help you find problems earlier. You have more time to plan the next step.
Safer Website Changes
Updates and routine changes follow a defined process. Important checks happen before and after the work.
Better Backup Readiness
You can see whether backups are running and whether recovery needs more attention.
Clear Technical Priorities
You receive clear next steps instead of unexplained alerts or a growing task list.
More Time for Your Business
Your team spends less time chasing updates, website errors and small technical tasks.
More Predictable Support
You know where to send a request, and which work belongs in the plan versus a separate scope.
We use reduce-risk, find-earlier and more-predictable language. We do not promise zero downtime, absolute security or the complete avoidance of incidents.
Small Website Tasks Can Become Bigger Problems
A missed update can break another feature. An unchecked backup may fail when you need it. A slow page can drive customers away. Without a clear owner, small tasks pile up.
- Updates stay pending because no one wants to risk the live site.
- Backup jobs exist, but no one checks the result.
- Website errors keep returning after quick fixes.
- Content changes wait because there is no support process.
- Security alerts arrive, but the next step is unclear.
- Different providers handle different tasks, but no one sees the whole picture.

Silent Failures Are What We Catch
A site that goes down is obvious. The failures that cost the most are the quiet ones. A contact form stops sending. A checkout breaks for one payment method. Pages quietly drop out of search. Speed slips a little every week. Nothing crashes, so nothing shouts — the leads just stop.
That is the failure mode we watch for. Alongside uptime, we monitor the signals that go silent:
Form submissions
We test that your forms still reach their destination, so a broken contact or quote form does not sit unnoticed for weeks.
Checkout and orders
For stores, we watch the order path and flag signs that a payment step has stopped completing.
Search indexing
We check that your pages stay indexed, and that nothing is accidentally blocked from search after a change.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
We track real performance over time and flag gradual decline before it starts costing you conversions.
And You Hear About It Every Month
A maintenance plan should not be a silent invoice. Every month you receive a short report: what we updated and checked, what monitoring caught, what we fixed, and how much of your included hours were used. If nothing went wrong, the report still tells you what was verified — so “nothing happened” shows up as visible work, not silence.
You Own Your Site. Always.
Your domain, your hosting account, and your code belong to you. A maintenance provider should never be the only one holding the keys.
Your assets stay in your name
Domain, hosting, and site files remain yours and under your control. We work with your access — we do not take ownership of it.
A clean handover if you leave
If you move on, the agreement sets out how access, files, and credentials are returned. We do not hold your domain, and we do not charge a release fee.
This is written into our agreement, not just promised on a page.
What Can Website Maintenance Services Include?
The exact work depends on your website and selected plan. The following areas form the core of ongoing website care.
1. Website Assessment and Baseline
We review the website setup, current condition and known concerns. This gives the maintenance work a clear starting point. Possible checks include platform and version, plugins or extensions, hosting context, current updates, backup status, visible errors, monitoring signals and important forms or checkout functions.
2. Software Updates and Compatibility Checks
We help manage updates for the website platform and supported components. The process can include preparation, backup checks, testing and post-update review. High-risk updates may need a separate test environment or project scope.
3. Managed Backup Checks
We check backup jobs, status and visible failures within the selected service scope, and flag recovery risks that need further work. Frequency, storage, retention and restore testing depend on the final plan. Offsite copies can keep a recovery copy accessible when the hosting server has a problem.
Website Backup Services →4. Website Monitoring
Monitoring can help you see downtime, performance changes and other signals earlier. Monitoring does not mean that a person watches the website every minute.
Website Monitoring Services →5. Security Maintenance
Security care can include update hygiene, basic checks, visible risk review and escalation when suspicious activity appears. No maintenance service can promise that a website will never be attacked.
Website Security Services →6. Routine Website Changes
A maintenance plan may include small changes to existing content, images, links or settings. New features, major design changes and custom development need a separate scope.
Website Update Services →7. Troubleshooting and Support
You can send questions and report issues through one support path. Complex repairs, malware removal and urgent incidents may need separate approval.
Website Support Services →8. Maintenance Records and Reports
Maintenance records can show completed tasks, changes, backup status, alerts and items that need attention. The final report format depends on the selected plan and available data.
Know What Ongoing Maintenance Covers
A good maintenance service sets clear boundaries. This protects the website and keeps requests moving.

- Supported software updates
- Backup status checks
- Monitoring review
- Basic security maintenance
- Routine content changes

None of these plan names implies 24/7 support or unlimited development. White-label products remain on the agency path and do not appear as a direct-client plan.

What Affects Website Maintenance Pricing?
Pricing depends on the website and the work required. The main factors can include:
- Website platform
- Number of websites
- Current technical condition
- Update and compatibility risk
- Ecommerce or membership functions
- Integrations and custom code
- Maintenance frequency
- Support scope
- Requested changes
- Reporting needs
A simple website may need a standard plan. A complex website may need an assessment and custom scope. Published plan prices and included hours appear above and on the Maintenance Plans page; this page does not invent price ranges beyond those.

Website Maintenance Services FAQ
What do website maintenance services include?
Website maintenance can include updates, backup checks, monitoring, security care, routine changes, troubleshooting and reports. The final scope depends on the website and selected plan.
How often will my website be maintained?
The schedule depends on the website, risk and selected plan. The final agreement should define update windows, checks, reports and support availability.
Do you maintain WordPress websites?
Yes. WordPress is a core service area. The dedicated WordPress maintenance page explains platform-specific care.
Can you maintain an ecommerce website?
We assess the platform, payments, integrations, order flow and risk before work starts. WooCommerce is a core service area. Other ecommerce platforms need qualification.
Can a maintenance plan include content changes?
A plan may include small changes to existing text, images, links or settings. The plan must define available time and request limits. New features and major design work need a separate scope.
What happens if the website is hacked?
Use the emergency or malware-removal path. We first assess the incident. The initial response (assessment, isolation, and stop-loss) is handled within the included hours of your plan; malware removal, full cleanup, and recovery are a separate scope, quoted before we proceed.
Does monitoring mean someone watches the website all day?
No. Monitoring tools collect signals and send alerts. Alerts still need review, context and escalation. Human coverage depends on the selected service terms.
What does the two-hour response time mean?
It means that you receive an initial response within two hours on business days. It does not mean that every issue will be fixed within two hours. Emergency terms are confirmed separately.
Do you provide website hosting?
Hosting is not one of our core services. We can work with the current hosting provider when maintenance needs their support.
How much do website maintenance services cost?
Pricing depends on the platform, website condition, risk, scope and frequency. View the cost page for pricing factors. Use the plans page to compare service levels.
How do I get started?
Send the website URL and a short note about the current needs. We will review the request and discuss the next step.
What is actually written down before I pay you?
A written scope with the tasks and their frequency, the included engineering hours per plan, a first-response commitment of 2 hours on business days, the overage rate for work beyond the plan, and the term, notice and exit terms. You can read the plan structure on the plans page and the commercial terms in our Terms of Service before anything starts.
Website Maintenance, Support and Management Are Different
Website Maintenance
Covers recurring technical care: updates, checks, backups, monitoring, security maintenance and records.
Website Support
Focuses on questions, requests and troubleshooting. It gives you a clear way to ask for help.
Website Support Services →Website Management
Broader. It may include more operational responsibility, coordination and ongoing ownership.
Website Management Services →Maintenance Plans
A maintenance plan defines the service level. It should explain tasks, frequency, limits, support and reporting.
Website Maintenance Plans →Maintenance Cost
The cost page explains pricing factors and budget questions. It does not replace the service or plans page.
Website Maintenance Cost →How Often Does a Website Need Maintenance?
There is no single schedule for every website. A simple brochure site and a busy ecommerce site have different risks.
The schedule should reflect how often the website changes, the platform and software, ecommerce or membership functions, security and update risk, backup needs, business impact when the website fails, and the selected support level. The final maintenance plan should state the agreed schedule. Avoid choosing a plan from frequency alone.

What Is Written Down Before You Pay Us
A maintenance service is easiest to trust when you can read the terms before you need them. These are ours, and they are all published rather than explained at a meeting.
Scope and included hours
Each plan lists the tasks it covers and a defined number of engineering hours per month, with a standard credit for common requests so there is nothing to negotiate after the fact. Beyond the included hours, work is $99/hour with written confirmation before it starts.
See plans and included hours →Response, stated honestly
2 hours for the initial response on business days. That is an acknowledgement and triage window — not a fix time, and not 24/7 coverage. We state the limit because a response commitment is only useful if it means something exact.
Access, credentials and records
Least-privilege access, secure credential sharing rather than email, and a record of every change made to your site. We describe the rules rather than asking you to take them on trust.
How access is handled →Term, notice and exit
An initial term, then monthly renewal with a defined notice period, and a clear statement of what you receive when the arrangement ends. Your domain, hosting account and files stay in your name throughout. The commercial terms are in our Terms of Service.
If you are evaluating more than one provider, the same questions apply to every quote — we wrote them out in what to put in a website maintenance contract. And if you are weighing whether to hire anyone at all, see DIY, a freelancer, a team, or AI tools.
