Small Business Website Maintenance, Sized to Your Site
You do not need an enterprise retainer to keep a small business site healthy. You need a defined plan, a real person behind it, and a clear answer when something goes wrong.
We look after the technical side of your website — updates, backups, monitoring and small changes — so you can get on with running the business.

1,000+ represents websites served cumulatively, not current actively maintained sites. 2 hours means initial response on business days, not a fix time or 24/7 service.
What Small Business Website Maintenance Includes
The same fundamentals that keep any site running — applied at a scale that makes sense for a small business.
Safe updates
Core, plugin and theme updates applied with care, so your site stays current without breaking.
Backups you can restore
Off-site backups of your files and database, with a tested way back if something goes wrong.
Monitoring
Uptime, performance and quiet failures — like a form that stops sending — watched and reported.
Security basics
Update hygiene, access review and tamper signals, so small problems are caught before they grow.
Small changes
Content edits, image swaps and minor fixes, handled within your plan's included hours.
A plain-language report
Each month you get a short report of what was checked, what was done and what it cost in hours.
Why Small Business Sites Get Stuck
It is rarely the technology. It is almost always the same four gaps.
No in-house web person
Nobody in the business owns the website, so updates and fixes wait until they become urgent.
Agency retainers priced for bigger sites
A full agency contract can be more than a small site needs, which leaves a gap in the middle.
DIY is a second job
Learning updates, backups and security is real work — and it is work you did not start a business to do.
A broken site costs real enquiries
A small business site that stops working does not just look bad. The enquiries simply stop arriving.
A Plan That Fits a Small Site
Straightforward tiers, with a defined amount of engineering time in each. No "unlimited everything" — just a clear scope you can plan around.

What You Actually Get Every Month
Work done, written down
Updates applied, checks run, problems found and fixed — logged with the hours each request used, so the fee is never a mystery.
Someone who answers
A named team you can send a request to, with a defined response commitment — not a chatbot or a queue that resets.
Developed-market engineering, contract-accountable, at a competitive rate.
Is This Right for Your Business?
A good fit
- Your site brings in enquiries, orders or bookings
- You have no in-house web person
- You want a simple, defined plan rather than a large retainer
- You want a real person to call when something breaks
Not the best fit
- You want the absolute lowest price and accept the risk
- You enjoy managing updates and changes yourself
- You need a one-time project rather than ongoing care
- You need "unlimited everything" with no scope boundary
Small Business Website Maintenance FAQ
Do I really need website maintenance for a small site?
If your site brings in enquiries, orders or bookings, yes. Small sites are not attacked less — they are simply attacked at smaller scale. Routine updates, backups and monitoring are what keep a small site from turning into an expensive emergency.
Is this only for WordPress?
No. WordPress is the most common small-business platform we look after, but the same care applies to WooCommerce, Joomla and general PHP sites. Tell us your platform and we will confirm what fits.
How much does small business website maintenance cost?
Standard plans start at $99/mo (Essential), $249/mo (Business) and $499/mo (Managed), with a Custom tier from $799/mo for more complex sites. Each plan includes a defined number of engineering hours per month.
I am not technical. Will I understand what is happening?
That is the point of the service. You send a request or a question in plain language, we handle the technical side, and your monthly report tells you what was done in plain language too.
Can you handle my site if I do not have login details?
If you own the site, you can provide the access we need — and you keep ownership throughout. If access is unclear or held by someone else, we help you understand what you own before we take anything on.
Will it cost extra every time I ask for something small?
Small changes are handled within your plan's included hours, and minor fixes of a few minutes are absorbed as a courtesy. Anything beyond your hours is quoted before we start, at the agreed overage rate.
What if I only need help once?
A plan works best for ongoing needs. If you have a single problem, a one-time fix or an assessment may fit better, and we will tell you so instead of selling you a plan you do not need.
Can I cancel?
Plans run on a clear initial term with monthly renewal and a defined notice period — that structure is what lets us commit to a response standard. If you prepay annually and cancel within 30 days, we refund the unused difference.
